You’ve Been Hugged Pocket Hug, handmade using epoxy resin, UV resin, and color shift chameleon powders. These were created to look like raindrops and the effect is so cool!! since color shifting chameleon chrome powder was used,these will shift colors in the light. as an example,the blue may look blue straight on but purple from a side angle!
These make great remembrance gifts for loved ones you can’t be with all the time. Think of them as a memorial gift you can give to a loved one that you won’t see for a while. What comes to my mind is a grandparent who gives this special sentiment to a loved grandchild that may live in another state so they don’t get to see each other very often. They are also used as an anxiety aid that can be touched in your pocket to help connect you to the loved one who gave it to you.
Each heart first had raindrops added drop by drop with UV resin. After curing, I then used the chameleon chrome powders to coat the hearts with a micro brush. The final stage was to pour epoxy resin colored black with mica powder into each design.
While the resin cured, I printed and cut the cards using a Cricut and several colors of 65lb card stock. The card design was found in the Cricut store so note that I didn’t design it or write those words, but created the cards themselves using what was available there via membership.
Finally, I attached the hearts to the cards with a small round double sided sticky pad for easy removal. Each pocket hug has a flat back and if you really wanted to drill a small hole and attach a bail to it, this would easily transform into a heart pendant necklace.
